Solar & battery · Noosa to Caloundra

Solar and battery, done properly.

Starting from scratch? Panels, hybrid inverter and storage fitted together in one visit, with both rebates already off. It is the fastest payback we quote — and on a free-power plan it is under four years for most homes.

Already have panels? We retrofit a battery alongside them. It takes longer to pay for itself than doing the lot at once, and we will show you the difference rather than talk around it.

  • Solar + battery from $15,850
  • Battery retrofit from $9,850
  • $251.60/kWh rebate, first 14 kWh

Running a business? Commercial solar is sized to your daytime load, not your evenings →

Send four photos after you submit and we'll come back with an indicative number that afternoon — next morning if it is late in the day.

Why doing the lot at once pays quickest

Dead simple

One visit, one inverter, one application

Fitting the panels and the battery together means one hybrid inverter instead of a string inverter you replace later, one trip, and one lot of paperwork. That is why doing the lot at once comes back in about four years while a retrofit takes seven to nine.

A number before anyone visits

Four photos from your phone — switchboard, meter, inverter, roof — plus your last bill. That is enough for an indicative price that afternoon, or next morning if it lands late. We come and look before it becomes a firm one.

Already have panels? Still worth doing

A battery goes in alongside the system you already own. It costs less up front than starting over — it just takes longer to pay for itself, and we show you both numbers rather than only the flattering one.

Rebate comes off the top

$251.60 per kWh on the first 14 kWh until 31 December 2026. We claim it — you never pay it and wait.

How it runs

Three steps, no showroom

  1. 01

Send four photos and a bill

Switchboard, meter, inverter, roof. An indicative price back that afternoon, or next morning if it is late in the day.

  2. 02

    We come and look

Every place is different. We check the board, the roof and the run before we commit to a number.

  3. 03

    Firm price, named week

Fixed quote with the rebate already off. Accept it and we book you in. One day on site.

Both ways in

Starting from scratch, or adding to what you have

Doing the lot at once is the quickest payback we quote — one visit, one inverter, one application. Retrofitting onto panels you already own costs less up front but takes longer to come back.

Before you pick a size

What size actually suits you

A battery has two ceilings and both have to be open. Your roof has to make enough spare power to fill it, and the house has to use enough after dark to empty it. Miss either one and the extra modules sit there earning nothing.

Standard retrofit

What the price covers, and what it doesn’t

Included

In every retrofit price

  • SolaX hybrid inverter and T51 battery modules, supplied and installed
  • Battery isolation, DC cabling and switchboard work at the existing board
  • Backup wired to an essential-circuits sub-board — fridge, lights, power, internet
  • Federal battery rebate claimed by us and already off the price you see
  • Energex application and grid connection lodged for you
  • Commissioning, and SolaX Cloud set up on your phone before we leave
  • Certificate of electrical safety on completion

Not included

What gets quoted separately

  • Three phase. These prices are single phase. A three-phase hybrid is different hardware and a different job.
  • Sheds, granny flats and outbuildings. Mains or a submain to a second building is its own quote — the last one was a 16 mm² three-phase run.
  • Whole-home backup. The price covers an essential-circuits board. Backing up the whole house means a bigger changeover and usually a new board.
  • Switchboard replacement, where the board is full, pre-1990, or has no room for the backup sub-board.
  • Long runs between the board, the inverter and wherever the battery has to sit.
  • A battery your solar can’t fill. If your array is too small to charge the size you’re pricing, we’ll tell you before you buy it — not after.

We look before we quote and tell you if any of these apply — never after.

Already been quoted a generator?

A generator sits there. A battery works every night.

Plenty of people on acreage weigh these against each other, and it is a fair question. Here is the comparison as honestly as we can put it, including the part where the generator wins.

The bit you’ll actually use

You’ll know where every kilowatt-hour goes

Every system we fit gets CT clamps on your mains and SolaXCloud set up on your phone before we leave. It is not a gimmick. It is how you find out what your house actually does, and how you check that the numbers on this page were true.

SolaXCloud live view: 6.45 kW from the roof, 2.40 kW going into the house, battery at 100%
Live, at a glance
SolaXCloud daily totals: 23.50 kWh produced, 10.20 kWh used, 1.70 exported, 0.10 kWh imported
A whole day, and what it cost
  • Live power flow. Panels, inverter, battery, grid and the house, refreshing every five minutes — or every ten seconds on the current dongle. You can watch the battery fill at lunchtime and empty at dinner.
  • What the house really draws, not what the inverter guesses. The CT clamps read your mains directly. Without them you only ever see what the roof made. With them you see the pool pump kick in, the oven, the aircon — and what each one costs you.
  • Day, month and year. The screen on the right is a real day on one of ours: 23.50 kWh made, 10.20 used in the house, 16.90 put away in the battery — and 0.10 kWh bought off the grid. Ten cents worth. That is what a right-sized system looks like, and it is why we publish the numbers.
  • On your wrist, if you want it. SolaXCloud does Apple Watch and home-screen widgets, so the day's figures are a glance rather than an app you have to open. Small thing, but it is the difference between checking it once and actually watching it.
  • Faults come to me as well. With your permission the system reports to my installer account. If something trips I can usually see what it is before I get in the ute, and often sort it without coming out at all.

A different job

If you want to trade power, we’d fit you a Sigenergy

On a wholesale plan your battery buys when the market is cheap and sells into the evening peak. The retailer automates that themselves — but only for batteries on their supported list, and SolaX is not on it. Sigenergy is. So if trading is what you are after, that is what we would quote you.
